When people think of bustling metropolises Calgary often isn’t the first city that comes to mind. Insanely suburban, culturally wanting, lacking je ne sais quoi. But the city is starting to become self aware after going nutty with oil (not to say that won’t happen again) for so many years. If nothing else, they’ve started a hilarious new campaign that’s spicing up train stations and sidewalks.
The find your d-spot campaign is adding a dose of humour to the current Calgary downtown situation. They’ve also opened up getdown.ca, which tracks various events that are happening in the city. The site’s got a decent design, so here’s to hoping that they actually keep the content updated.
